Description

The sous chef role, also called as the deputy chef, is the cornerstone of a professional kitchen. Being a sous chef is a vital job for the pizzeria. A sous chef manages other chefs, follows recipes of Paparacheezy Pizza, knows how to work with pizza dough and ensures a high-quality product. See duties and responsibilities for more information.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Directs food preparation and collaborates with the executive chef.

  • Helps in the designing of the pizza and food menu.

  • Fills in for the head chef when they are not present.

  • Trains junior chefs.

  • Practices food safety and sanitation standards

  • Ensures that the food prepared and served is top quality.

Description

  • Prepares all food items needed for the day like pizza dough, sauce, cheese, tomatoes, and other toppings.

  • Makes sure the kitchen is clean and sanitized.

  • Performs regular maintenance on kitchen equipment

INTERVIEW PROCESS

    Initial interviews will be done via video interview to screen and reduce the long list of applicants. After determining the shortlisted applicants, they will be emailed and will be asked to meet in person for a face-to-face interview. The face-to-face interview aims to find the applicants that best fits the criteria of Paparacheezy Pizza among all the applicants. The applicants will be interviewed by the HR manager, the supervisor, and the executive chef.

  4. Questions from the candidate to the interviewers

    • Applicants are given the chance to ask questions of their own to determine if the job and the company are right for them.

  5. Conclusion

    • Summarize the points that have been made during the interview.

2. Do a Reference Check

  • Having reference checks verifies the truthfulness of the information provided by the candidate. The background and history of the applicant are checked as well. Reference check is also used to know if the applicant has the right skill set for the job and can help identify patterns of behavior and ethics of the applicant during his/her time working with his/her previous work.

         After this, start making the decision and choose the candidate with the greatest future potential for the organization. The best candidate is then chosen and given an offer. It is important to carefully review the candidates in a timely manner, do not rush it, and do not take too much time deciding.
